Review of Los Angeles, California

Stimulating but not overstimulating
Star Rating - 1/2/2008
I've lived in West Los Angeles for 30 years, Chicago for 5 years and Santa Barbara for 2 years. Being back in this neighborhood makes me appreciate what most other cities cannot offer - diversity of people, culture and cuisine. Within one mile from my residence is Little Ethiopia, a large orthodox Jewish population, Miracle Mile with all of its splendid museums and LA's Restaurant Row. It has all of the traffic, congestion, bad drivers, expensive rent and amazing weather that you've heard of but it's important to weigh your wants and needs against the risks and sacrifices you might face when choosing a place to live.

With all that said, my wife and I are looking to relocate in the next 5 years. We'll miss the ethnic restaurants and the weather.
